During Morning Meeting on Wednesday, we took a photo of our interests (and personalities!). It is always so nice to see what each of my students is interested in. They sure do make me smile and laugh each and every day! Then on Thursday, we took pictures of of all of our NUMBERS!! This was a great day/week to remember that we must always be kind to others and treat our peers with respect! Each morning, the guidance counselors along with some 6th graders created a video for us to watch, reminding us how important it is to respect one another. I think that we all took away some valuable messages and are going to be sure to spread some kindness wherever we go. We are definitely experts on the SILLY faces!

On Wednesday, in honor of Dr. Seuss' Birthday and Read Across America Day, many of the teachers and staff performed a choreographed (and much practiced) dance for the students at each lunch. The entire performance was a complete surprise for the students, and I think that each grade level truly enjoyed the surprise! I have a attached the video for your enjoyment... :) After all of the performances, I mentioned to another teacher that I had believed to find another one of my callings... FLASH MOBS! It was SO much fun and I had an adrenaline rush for the rest of the day! Click here!! Also, Mrs. Doherty and I dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2. I really love dressing up! Ask your kids about all of my crazy outfits last week! Looking forward to a month of (March) Madness!
Mill Pond is having a week where students and teachers are dressing up in different themes each day. The purpose for this is to Celebrate all of Our Special Qualities & Embrace all of Our Differences!! So please encourage each student to participate each day! We want to show that our class has the MOST spirit. I will be participating each day :)
Here is the list of days! The more enthusiastic, the better! This past week, the kids have been completing a gymnastics unit in Physical Education (PE). This past Thursday, the PE teacher, Ms. Brogan, sent some fun photos to me of the kids working together and creating class pyramids. Here they are: (They look so great!!!) Our whole class working together! My goofy girls!! I love those smiles :)
